“I need Money Now” Survival tips part 1

Whether you are unemployed, underemployed, or just in need of some extra cash, money can seem scarce at times.  If you are anything like me, you have often said to yourself “There has to be something else I can do to make some extra money”. Well, you are in luck because there are several different ways to make extra money.

The first thing I like to do is organize a list of special skills.  After organizing a list of my special skill set, I like to take inventory of everything I own.  Here is an example of a personal inventory list:
A.)  Sales experience
B.)  Research experience
C.)  I can play a keyboard
D.)  I am good at marketing
E.)  I can translate many languages
F.)  I own a car
G.)  I live in a house
H.) I have an office with extra open space
I.)    I have a two car garage

After organizing my personal list, the next step is figuring out how to use my assets to create valued capital.  I started a Google search and discovered a peer-to-peer car-sharing service called Get-around (www.getaround.com). This online service allows  car owners to rent out their car to locals and tourists in their city for a profit.
After renting my car out for two days at a $45 per day rate, I was able to double my $30 goal in two days.

Another great option for car owners is Uber (www.uber.com) and Lyft (www.lyft.com). Turn your car into a taxicab service at the click of a button. By using the Uber or Lyft app, anyone in need of transportation can connect with a driver at the click of a button. It’s Available on iPhone, Android, and on their website.

There is also a global online marketplace called Fiverr (www.fiverr.com/).  Fiverr is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, referred to as 'gigs' beginning at a cost of $5 per job from which it gets its name.

Here are a few traditional options.
1.)  You could sale some of your personal items using craigslist, EBay, or a good old fashion yard sale.
2.)  You can start a landscaping business or shovel snow seasonally.
3.)  You can use your truck to pick up peoples junk for a price.

Look out for part 2 coming soon.
